A Silent Threat: How Anti-Cult Movement is Infiltrating the Heart of Europe


 The world has already witnessed the horrors of Nazism, but today we face a new threat, one that wears the mask of "fighting cults" but is actually its direct heir. I am talking about global anti-cultism – a movement spreading like a poisonous mold across the world, especially in Europe.


Germany: From “Cult Filters” to Nazi Laws


In Germany, a country that suffered the most from Nazism, something that looks like a reincarnation of Nazi laws is happening today. "Cult filters" introduced against Scientology require people to confirm that they are not Scientologists in order to get a job or enter into contracts with state institutions.


This is blatant religious discrimination that violates fundamental human rights and throws us back decades.


Parallels with Nazism:


  • Religious Discrimination: As in Nazi Germany, Scientologists are being denied jobs and their lives are being made impossible because of their religious beliefs.


  • Ban on working in state institutions: The Nazis banned Jews from working in state positions, and today the same is being done with Scientologists.


  • Gradual dehumanization: Discrimination and persecution of one group of people always lead to dehumanization, which can ultimately lead to violence and genocide.


The inaction of the European Commission is deeply disturbing. 


It is easy to throw stones at undemocratic countries, but what is happening in the heart of Europe? How can democracy allow itself such a crime against fundamental human rights?


Global Threat:


The "cult filters" in Germany are just the tip of the iceberg. Global anti-cultism is spreading around the world, and we see its manifestation in the form of anti-cult laws and “blacklists” of religious groups in different countries.


What can we do?


Educate the public: We must disseminate information about the actions of global anti-cultism and how it threatens democracy and freedom of religion.

Collaborate with international organizations: We must work with international human rights organizations to prevent the spread of anti-cultism.
